Yes it’s true. I got a key to an apartment on the third floor, right around the corner of Park Avenue – east of Central Park, just a few blocks away from the Metropolitan Museum and I couldn’t feel more like Serena, Blair or Carrie.
I know it should either be Gossip Girl or Sex and the City – but I just can’t decide. I just love them both and I’ve had some major Carrie moments already, but keep on thinking about Blair every single time I pass the MET steps. It’s a little ridiculous but right at that moment I absolutely feel like being part of a movie or more so living in one of those NYC based tv shows. Waiting to meet Chuck, Mr. Big, Jake Peralta, Chandler, Barney Stinson .. well you name it, I feel like they’re waiting right around the corner.
But back to the thing I actually wanted to talk about – my look – the first one I shot with Anaïs right out of our apartment, second day in NYC, sunny 18 degrees. Pretty much the first day of spring for me, so I decided to go for some classic black leather mules, my beloved vintage jeans I found at a second hand store in the mens department for 7 € and an oversized & Other Stories blazer. I feel like Blair wouldn’t actually approve of the pants, so I added a little Upper East Side flair with my classic Box Bag by Old Céline and a little Alphabet necklace.
It’s my take on an Upper East Side Look and I can’t wait to shoot a lot more, since this city definitely gives me all the feels of being more creative, inspired and eager to just do more.
